EMS aims to maximize efficiency, reduce energy bill, and minimize carbon footprint by dynamically adapting to external factors such as weather, energy prices, and demand forecasts. Modern EMS architectures integrate intelligent networking of components, including communication modules, sensors, and actuators, to enable real-time optimization and predictive maintenance.
Local-first software sets new principles for applications that enable both real-time data processing and ownership for users. Local-first approach opens the possibility to work offline in remote areas and consolidate data from multiple on-site devices, while also improving privacy, security, and user control of data. At the same time, local-first system can be optionally connected to the cloud for remote access and advanced features. Universal Communication Module (UCM) is a hardware device that acts as a translator between various energy devices and the Enapter ecosystem. It runs Enapter Blueprints to integrate different devices such as electrolysers, power meters, inverters, batteries, and sensors into the Enapter Cloud platform using Lua scripts and YAML configurations. UCMs enable seamless communication and data exchange between diverse energy equipment and the Enapter Gateway and Cloud through a secure wireless or wired connection.
Enapter Blueprint is a pre-configured integration package for specific energy device model. Blueprints simplify the process of adding new devices to your energy management system by providing ready-to-use configurations, control logic, and visualization templates. The Enapter Blueprint Marketplace offers a wide range of integrations for more than 50+ device vendors.
Enapter LINK is a wired bus communication system introduced in the 2nd generation (M2) of Universal Communication Modules. This new feature allows UCMs to be directly wired to the Enapter Gateway, providing an alternative to the previous WiFi-only connectivity. Enapter LINK enhances the reliability and security of device communication within the energy management system, especially in environments where wireless connections may be challenging or less desirable.
